Download Manager is a flexible and simple script that allows you to sell electronic goods and provide instant download capabilities after the payment has been made. Electronic fulfillment can be time-consuming if not done right. Download Manger helps ensure that your customers get the products they ordered quickly while protecting your software investment. Providing an email link after the order is complete is a sure-fire way to lose revenue. Download Manager automatically emails clients their unique login/password information and automatically sets the expiration time based on parameters you set.

 When your customer completes their payment via PayPal a notification is sent back to your website. Download Manager looks at this notification to set up a new user and package for the electronic fulfillment/automated download. Once validations are completed a welcome email is sent to the new client with login instructions into the Download Manager. If the package is set for auto-activate then the client will also receive an email with specific instructions about that package.
When a customer logs in they can see all the packages available for download and when the package expires. They can download the package as many times as they need until their expiration time is reaqched, thus cutting down on technical support issues if the download fails.
 The Download Manager control panel makes it easy to set up packages for electronic delivery. You set up the name, expiration rule, activation rule and email text then add as many files as you want to the package. Each package can contain an unlimited number of files. This can save you download bandwidth over bundling all of your downloads in one giant "zip" file. Clients will only download the files they want/need. You will still want to "zip" your individual files/scripts but by keeping them separate you can now add files to different packages without having to maintain mutiple versions of download files.
Electronic delivery of download/soft goods should be automated to free you from managing every sale. However, for extra protection, Download Manager allows you to put every order into a "pending" state so you can manually review it before releasing it for download.
Download Manager offers a special "side benefit". If you offer free upgrades/updates for your electronic downloads then all you have to do is add another downloadable file to a package and that file is now available to everyone that does not have that package expired. Setting the expiration date to 1 year will make that package available and all upgrades/updates you add to the package for 1 year from the date of the purchase.
